Just because you don’t sell flowers…
Finally, we have reached February… with Christmas a distant memory, it only means one thing – Valentine’s Day is on the horizon. Get ready for the onslaught of all things, red, fizzy, fluffy, sparkly and smelly (in a good way!).
You may think that what you do or sell in your business isn’t wholly relevant to a romantic gesture… but what if it’s you making the romantic gesture?! Ok, so I’m not talking marriage proposals! BUT… there is something to be said for ‘loving’ on your customers. It feels really good when we are recognised, valued and appreciated by those we give our hard-earned cash to. I’m sure you feel a warm glow when someone leaves you a great review.
‘Surprise and delight’ is one of my great marketing tips for creating raving fans. You know, those customers that will always recommend you and come back time and again to shop with you. We LOVE those customers! Do something unexpected for your customers, be creative and stand out from your competitors. It doesn’t always have to cost a fortune and it can be a great way to increase your social media followers or email subscribers.
